It’s rare that you’ll come across a car built by a girl. It’s even more rare to find one that’s got a lot of style… And is also in mid-build. So when I came across this white hatch from Arizona, I knew I wanted to give her & her owner a little of the attention they deserve for a great job so far.

Meet EG.Girl
I’ll confess, I have a huge weakness for EG and EK hatches. I love the lines of an EK, and my husband had an EG that I came to adore. We’ve contemplated picking up another hatch many, many times… I’d love it, honestly. (Well, I am partial to my RWD though. 
)
What I love most about this car is the purple BBS wheels. Hello!! Definitely hot, definitely a girly touch, but absolutely not over the top. Classy for sure.

The wheels are BBS RS 3 piece wheels, tires are some shitty Nexen N3000′s which don’t grab as well as my old Toyo Proxes T1R’s but meh lol

Seats, shift boot, shift knob
SIR cluster
Vision lip”
The Future Plans:
“I want to do an LS turbo build and try and be one of the only girls with a 10 second hatch. The car needs body work, that will happen soon enough. That’s really about it.”
Nothing But Support Here!
I’ve got nothing but support for this car and her owner, for real. After stopping by the last autocross, I’ve realized that I do have a few female friends who are into cars there and their support means a ton to me.
While I’m in no way ready to be a mentor, I want to continue the support on to other girls who are probably going through some of the same things I am — “Oh, is that your boyfriend’s car?” Ugh, worst question ever.
There are way, way too few girls who are truly into cars to bicker and be spiteful of each other. I truly hope she achieves her goals with this Civic and that, someday, we’ll be reading about it in a magazine feature like Jade’s CTR. (Hopefully my 240SX too, haha!)

Clean = amazing. Most cars don’t need crazy exteriors to rock hard and roll nice. Less is definitely more sometimes.
Much respect. Thats a very nicely chosen mod list. I love the JDM aspects included here as well. In fact she reminds me of another girl on one of my favorate videos, JDM Insider. They showed a 10 second EG hatch in white that was female owned.
The girls are definitly stepping up there game and im here to let you all know we absolutly love it. Now, if any of you want to take my wife under your wing and get her going I would be more than appreciative. lol.

Inspiration for this build, maybe? Haha. I’ll admit I don’t know a lot of drag cars, but I know there are plenty of damn quick Civics in the drag scene. I usually only hear about the insane Supra or Skyline builds though. (I think they’re insane.)

That was my big thing — I had a guy who was into cars before my husband, but only my hubby took the time and had the patience to begin teaching me. Getting the Miata was a big step, then the first mod…. After that, well, I took to it like a duck to water. Still learning new things every day, I have so much to learn. I’m just lucky to know enough to set myself apart as legit now.

I’ve wanted to get there for some time, but it doesn’t seem like I’ll manage to pull it off before we move to Washington state. Maybe I’ll take a look into it again — I wanted to add it as a little excursion on our way to Myrtle Beach next month.
Or I could just say eff it and take off by myself there for a quick weekend drive. Who knows with me, haha.
Do it! Especially if you’re moving to the other side of the country! It really is worth the trip, I go up there ever summer to drive for a weekend and I’m planning multiple trips this year.
Last summers trip I did 20+ hours of driving in three days up there.
Even if its only for a day, the experience is worth it.
Well, I just might.
