I really do appreciate Your Artical and the fact that Tuner girls truly dont get the attention that many deserve. I am a tunner as well, and i will be the first to admit that the girl wearing next to nothing stratling a Car that she probably doesn't know how to drive, Is well.... Very attractive..
Unfortunately that has become almost an essential part of the Business. But one fact that Never leaves my mind when i am at different car shows checking out the cars and talking to the drivers, is that any girl Tuner Or driver that knows how to handle a car Has just become a Much Cooler/ Interesting person than any Bikini wearing Hood Prop. So don't sweat it.. those guys who have problems with girls who get into car tuning, usually are superficial anyway and are not worth hanging out with. I know, at one time hung out with a couple of dirt bags, i had a hard time stomaching the Garbage that came out of them.
So Stay strong and Keep tuning and any dude that cant keep up, May he eat you dust!

Haha, yeah..... Pretty much. I'm still entertained by the guys who try to talk cars to me who don't have a clue how much I know, and they end up talking about stuff that I'm like, "Yeah..... So?"

Besides, I'm an insanely quirky person to actually be around. Most people think I'm weird. The ones who can tolerate and appreciate my weirdness are the people I like to keep around. (That's a lot of autocross folk, many Porsche owners and a few select people around my age who aren't stupid about everything.)

All in all, things won't change so I'm mostly not bothered by them. Just have some down days, as everyone does.

"Why can't…
It be okay for a girl to be more than a pretty face? For a girl to know how to drive better than a guy? For a girl to know more about a car mechanically than a guy?"

because guys have inflated, but fragile egos. they don't like the feeling of inferiority.

"Why does every girl associated with cars have to be wearing next to nothing, just to be noticed? (I wonder this period, not just when it comes to cars, actually…)"

trust me, they get noticed, but refer back to the first post

"I just be me, and be praised for being a girl who's model size but not necessarily dressed like a slut?"

it works both ways, no guy is going to get praise for wearing a sweatshirt and jeans either.

"I feel okay with being me and not dressing like that… :/"

you should

"I'll be alright with the fact that I'll probably never be a model, never garner a bunch of attention or ever feel pretty enough."

But hey, at least you drive, right?

"But hey, at least I can drive, right?"

awesome.
