Welcome to April’s first edition of The Sunday News! This one’s fairly exciting for me, really.
She’s Baaaaaack….
Home, that is. My 240SX is HOME!! This is kinda old news at this point, but I did want to make it widely known that on April 1st, yes, April Fools’ Day, my SR20DET swapped 240SX managed to drive home.
She isn’t running 100% yet. The speedometer is not working, something that wasn’t working pre-swap anyhow. We also aren’t sure if the radiator fans are kicking on, and seem to have a temp spike when the brakes are applied… If you have any insights for me, let me know! I’d love to have her working in all aspects here. Been waiting too long for this, haha.
Also hoping that a friend will trade some gold 17′s for her current gold 15′s… Yes, we need bigger wheels. The car is raised. She has quite a bit of new fender gap. And the intercooler is still ridiculously low. See for yourself.

The gap in the front is pretty bad.....

And yet, here's how the intercooler sits. Ridiculous, isn't it? Haha.
My Oops…
Sharing the good means I feel obligated to share the bad. I f’ed up the other day and curbed one of my RPF1′s. I’m going to fix “repair”

Yay 240! Glad to hear that the 240 is up and running on her own power. That front pic came out so awesome, but I didn’t like what you used to gauge the height, but that’s just me.
South Dakota? Interesting choice. Surprised you didn’t pick something like Colorado. Supposedly the driving’s great there. If I had my druthers, I’d move back to the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In no time, you could be out in the country and off on the backroads.
Haha, it was a garbage pack we found while walking…. It’s a typical “height measurement” tool, been done many times before.
Neither of us actually smoke, lol. (I’ve never smoked anything in my life, except tires, and those times have been accidental as well!)
The lighting was weird because it was all from a street light… And it was four-something in the morning, haha.
We’re moving to Washington state, but since the hubs is military, we can call whatever state “home” we’d like.
Why South Dakota? It’s where my parents live, primarily, and there’s no state vehicle inspections, so the cars are all okay as is. (The Miata *might* pass an inspection, but she’s the only one right now in her current state that would as is. And even that’s only a maybe.) Plus we’d rather not run front plates. Being out of state means we can probably get away with this and not have to worry, even though a friend of mine said people in Texas did it all the time. (Corvette owners anyhow.) Eventually I’ll change my residency back to SD after I’m done with school, no income tax there.
It sounds weird, but it’s pretty logical… But no, I am not moving back haha. It’s not the state for me!
