The Cold Car Show…

April 20th, 2010 · No Comments · Car Event, Photos, Travel

Saturday at the Beach turned out to be the coldest day we were there, and I was not prepared for it! I ended up wearing two or three sweatshirts all day, plus my SCCA jacket… And was still cold!

Miata Car Show

However, it was the Miata Car Show that day, so we did indeed venture out… But I didn’t take as many pictures as I normally would have because I was freezing and just trying to avoid the wind!

There weren’t that many entries this year, either, so it didn’t take too long to walk around and then I’d go back and hide by the S2000 to get out of the wind. :P

Other than the Car Show, the day was pretty short, with the raffle drawing in the afternoon. We came away with three prizes from that — a Bridgestone shirt and Tire Rack hat for the hubs and what I claim as mine, a Kumho tires travel coffee mug.

All in all, the day felt bittersweet for me. I knew it was the last full day for us in Myrtle Beach, and after having such a fun week I really didn’t want to go back home…

I mean, this is coming out WAY later than it happened, so that might give you an idea of the crazy times I’ve been thrown into when I got back, ha. I’m still trying to play catch-up with everything it feels like!!

Picture time ;)

My favorite wheels, of course...

For all his obsessive cleaning, he *did* win best of show at the end of the day!!

If only they had lined up better...

I really dig the setup this guy had... And the trophies showed she does good at this, lol.

I think this ALL ORIGINAL 1992 with 10,400 miles won something in the stock category. She was crazy crazy clean!

While not in the show, this little kit car did show up... Was quite the sight, based off of an NB.

Meg

In 2007, Meg began learning about cars. Two years later, she had a very modified '97 Miata and a '90 240SX project car, as well as the Rookie of the Year autocross title. Life now completely revolves around cars and she wouldn't have it any other way. CarsxGirl is her way to encourage others to get into racing (it's not horribly expensive!), to document & share her car builds, an outlet to share & improve her automotive photography skills and to show that real car girls do exist!
