I wanted to get the KW Variant 3 coilovers on the S2000 for our first autocross, but it just didn’t work that way. Thankfully we DID manage to get them in just in time for the second one!!
We knew we’d need a little help, and thankfully a great friend of ours joined us for the afternoon. We couldn’t have done it without him, and we even managed to just about get the ride height perfect the first time! (There was some minor adjusting, but only to one of the coils. Victory I’d say!)

This isn’t really anything as far as instructions on how to do it — we followed along a post on S2ki using some other coilovers as a general guide, but really it was pretty straightforward. I had a bit of fun being there because I love seeing how all the suspension parts go together…. I geek out on it a little, lol.

It might be hard to tell in the photos, but she did get a fairly decent drop. I really don’t like the way S2000s look “slammed,” but I did want to get rid of the extra bit of fender gap that she had. Dropping her a tiny bit did that, and I love how she looks now!!

Thankfully, only the splitter scrapes in the driveway, and I can still back her in just fine. That means she can stay at the height she is, yay!!
The coilovers are also SUPER PLUSH compared to the stock springs and Koni Yellow shocks she previously wore. It’s amazing how much more smooth the ride is around the street…. I love it. I’ll touch more on my performance impressions in my post on the first autocross with them!
