Cars X Girl

Now this autocross seemed different….. Way different. And it wasn’t just because it was only my second autocross with the S2000.

She had her new KW Variant 3 coilovers on and an actual alignment. She felt like a different car — gone was the twitchy rear end, she felt planted through the corners and harder to get to step out. It was amazing — she seems to be a much, much happier car now that she can properly play!

We also created a convert at this event — our friend came out with his WRX. He ended up taking 1st Place in the Novice group on his very first day! You’ll be seeing more of his WRX in some upcoming posts and probably even after that.

Another friend came out, too, in this beautiful 996 911. Coming from an SCCA region that was very supported by the PCA, it was normal to see a bunch of Porsches at the events. Here, though, they’re pretty uncommon….

Of course, I was a meanie and kept the GoPro for the whole day on the S2000, so no STi videos this time. We all ended up in the same run group, so changing the camera was too much of an endeavor. I enjoy having videos to share with everyone, since it shows that I do seriously go out and do these things!

It was a pretty fast course on this particular day, which was really nice…. The end was really fast, so we ended up making a lot of noise. Nobody seemed to mind though, really!

All eight of my runs are up on YouTube, so check out my channel to see more if you’d like. I seem to have randomly attracted a hater with these who decided to dislike almost every single one…. Not sure what’s up with that. I’m definitely open to opinions on my videos though — whether you see something I should have done in the race or whether I should edit the videos differently. Critiques I don’t mind, I just don’t like random hate. I do hope you guys will tell me if I’m boring you, though!!

Oh, and we got another trophy this time! 2nd Place, out of two of course. Unless the Thunderbird that ends up in my class is gone, I’ll never see a 1st Place one…. Lol.

Not that I mind. We do have a track alignment, and I can’t wait to get out on the track for real…….
