While I have more Porsche photos to share, I figured I’d add a few of some different cars…
I don’t have a ton of photos from either event, so I figured I’d put them together.
First up, a few photos from the last local drift event of the year.
This Silvia had a white paint with a reflective layer that was pink or purple depending on how you saw it in the light. Really liked it.

A couple of FCs were out, a car I still really like…

And my friend’s FRS, who was out trying drifting for the first time!

Then there was the Import Face-Off event at my local track. I somehow decided entering the show with a dirty car was a good idea….. FYI, track cars don’t make good show cars. At least not at these kind of things.
I thought she looked good, though, and even got a few compliments and saw a couple of photos being taken of her engine bay. In the future I think she’d need her autocross trophies with her, lol. Might explain a few things…

Ran into a friend with his Cayman S out there, love this car.

Another photo of this Skyline & Supra together, the Japanese muscle cars. (I shared similar photos a long time back, lol.)

Was out to support these two cars, belonging to friends of mine.

And, finally, this crazy LS7 sporting S2000. She had some crazy wide tires she was hiding. Yum. Great looking build that I know did well in the show.

Overall, it’s reaffirming the feeling that this isn’t really my kind of cars anymore….. I don’t look down on anyone who enjoys this, for sure, but it’s just not me. Not my thing. My S2000 and I don’t fit in at all.
Funny enough, on my way to the IFO event, I saw a Cayman and a Panamera. It was unusual, as I don’t see either of those two cars very often. On my way home, I saw the same Cayman again. (Not the same Cayman from the show.) It sounds dumb, but I feel like it was some sort of sign…. A reminder of the cars I belong with.
Needless to say, I cannot wait to get my 911. Now more than ever.
