My 240SX was certainly not an expected car… She was very much one that just kinda fell into our lives and has been here ever since, and I feel like a much better person for having her as well. She’s been so much fun in the time I’ve owned her!
About my baby
–Sometimes I feel guilty, but she feels more my baby than the Miata does… And my husband seems to think I fit better with her than the Miata. Sometimes I agree. (We looked into a 240SX and a 300ZX when we were looking at Miatas, but could never find a nice one to get.)
–I got her for my 21st birthday. Awesome present, no?!
–She’s a 1990, and had ~284k miles when we bought her… All on the original KA24E and manual transmission. She was still going fairly strong when we pulled them sometime around 300k, not sure what because the odometer stopped working at 285k.
–Much sooner than expected, she went under the wrench to get her red top SR20DET swap. Still working out some kinks (electrical) as of June 2010, hopefully to be fully operational by July…
–I’m planning on a Silvia front-end conversion sometime after we move to Spokane, because shipping is much cheaper than it is to where we are now.
–I also want to get her a set of 17″ gold Work VS-XX’s. I am obsessed with them… *Sigh*

On the road to being famous…
So I decided that, of all my cars I could make famous, I bet she’d be the easiest one. I got the crazy idea that I should work on making her famous then. Here’s my attempts to do so. 
*01/03/10 — Made it into a batch of reader’s rides on Speedhunters, to celebrate the S13! Our first taste of overlooked fame… 
We’re #9, btw.
*04/13/10 — ShiftJDM decided to give her a little bit of love here. Thanks for loving her, SR20DET and all.

Really? It seems that few people do, to me anyways. As far as this one goes, the pignose will be traded in for a Silvia front end, *hopefully* later on this year. (But I’m not 100% sure on that one yet.)
