My Miata’s been there with me when I wanted to get into cars but really didn’t, but also when I finally got the bug and really got into them. Despite having the 240SX as a fairly invasive project, she’s still my daily driver and weekend racer.
Some quick facts:
-1997 Montego Blue Mica, bought July of 2007 with just under 90k miles on the car.
-Touring Package, which means she got power mirrors and windows over a base model. 1.8L engine, open diff, five speed manual and the best drop top roadster I could have ever asked for!
-We began autocrossing in December of 2008, after I started modifying her. 2009 was our first full season, ending with Rookie of the Year & Ladies Novice Champion. Our novice driving days are over!
-Her very first mod was in the summer of 2008, a pair of Turn Signal Intakes. After that came a complete revamp of the suspension and her set of black Enkei RPF1’s.
-She’s my daily driver, spoiled & loved to death. She’s street legal, but set up for spirited driving, autocross and track use.
-Her set up was track-tested for the first time on September 19, 2009 at Hallett in Oklahoma. I’m now convinced that my original plans are good. Might not be good for autocross, but track is where my heart seems to be. (She was said to be well-balanced by a Spec Miata racer as well, so that’s a good compliment!)
-Awards we’ve won: Rookie of the Year, with two 1st place trophies in Ladies Novice at local autocrosses during 2009 – ended 2009 as Ladies Novice champion, a Special Award from the Car Show in the Clouds from Miatas at Myrtle Beach III for me being the youngest owner to enter the show (March 2009) & a 2nd place trophy from a local car show for our Import class (May 2009).

Thanks for the comment. I’m jealous of your rims. Looks like our cars have a fair bit in common.
Awww, thanks.
So many people love the RPF1’s! I find it funny because they’re just not that expensive… And I had no idea so many people would love wheels that *I* could afford without giving up everything, lol.
Another nice car. Add a hardtop an a 13b. It’d be one of my dream cars.
There’s a friend of ours with an RX-7 who was always joking that I should throw a rotary into the Miata… I told him that if he could make it run as well as what she’s got now, I’m sold.
Hard top is definitely something I’m always on the lookout for, because they usually don’t come up cheap. (And nobody seems to want to give me one, sigh.)
Wo die Suchmaschine mich den lieben Tag hinbringt
Gute Page, ich werde wieder vorbeischauen.
Danke schön!
That is one badass serious Miata!
Haha, thanks! That’s what I was going for, really.
(Serious part, lol.)
Great info and excellent design you got here! I would like to thank you for giving your ideas and time into the stuff you post!! Thumbs up
