She’s not quite mine, but I still absolutely adore her and refer to her as our “pretty car.” She’s been with us since February 2007, bought in New York and poor thing has been forced to live in Arkansas ever since. We’re looking forward to moving all our girls to Spokane, Washington in the summer of 2010.
As I said, she isn’t quite mine, she’s my husband’s project and daily driver. I get to drive her every once in a while, and I’ve bought a couple of things for her… Namely the awesome set of silver Enkei RPF1’s that everyone seems to love.
To break it down…
–She’s a 2001 in Silverstone Metallic, with under 100k miles yet.
–Two of her most unusual mods are the OEM hard top and the Password:JDM dry carbon fiber ram air intake kit.
–My husband likes his carbon fiber, so she’s got quite a bit… The intake, hood, side mirrors, radiator cover and spark plug cover are all carbon fiber. (I even bought him a carbon fiber wallet for our anniversary.)
–She’s an AP1, meaning she has the 9,000 RPM redline…. And it is awesome. She also has no traction control whatsoever, unless you count the A/C as traction control. Which it kinda is.
–Honda was cute and introduced the S2000 in 1999 as a 2000 model. What most don’t know is that the name is a tribute to two of Honda’s earlier cars — The S600 and S800. The “2000″ in the name is for engine size, as it was for both the S600 and S800.
–People do not realize the car is a Honda, almost ever… We’ve been asked if she’s everything from a saturn to a Ferrari.
–You can visit her car domain page here, which has some more pictures and story.
