Much of what you need to know about the blog I covered here, in my introduction post.
Posting schedule is every Tuesday and Thursday. So check back on those days, or make it easy on yourself and just subscribe! (Links to the right —>;)
As for me…
Everything really started in 2007. That was the year I married my wonderful husband, and we acquired our first sports car — Our 2001 Honda S2000. (She was also the first dream car we both got.)
Soon after, I was introduced to autocross, and the Mazda Miata. I instantly fell in love and we decided it would be the perfect car for me to get started in cars. In July of 2007, my Miata came home.
However, I didn’t do much… Until the summer of 2008. While my husband was deployed, I decided to go ahead and buy my Miata’s first modification — A set of Turn Signal Intakes. I installed them myself in our driveway and from that moment on, I was hooked.
My Miata went through a drastic transformation in the fall of 2008, and in December she and I did our first autocross. At the same time, our S2000 gained some modifications and did a few autocrosses of her own.
In 2009, my Miata and I did our first full season of autocrossing, only missing a single race day. (And that day we instead opted to do a track day with our Miata club at Hallett instead.
) In December of 2009, we were awarded with the Rookie of the Year award! 2009 also saw us get two different car show awards — One for special recognition (youngest participant, me not her!) and 2nd place at another local show.
The biggest change of 2009 was, perhaps, the addition of my project — My 240SX. She’s been fun and a good way to show that I’m not just a Miata girl.
2010 was mostly an off year, though my 240SX was finally up and running with an SR20DET. I took the year off of racing because of a move and the addition of my Nikon D3000 to my life. Instead of running half an autocross season, I took photos instead.
After finding the local autocross group in my new home of Spokane, Washington, I vowed to get back into it in 2011. In June of 2011, my Miata and I brought home a 3rd Place trophy in autocrossing — A very exciting moment for us. (This being our first year not as Novices, and the autocross being a few days after my 23rd birthday.)
2011 also saw the car family expand, with our 2011 Subaru STi joining us.
I’ve also decided that four cars is a little crazy…. In February of 2012, I said goodbye to both the Miata and 240sx to make room for a new “project,” as well as working on the S2000 more.
In the summer of 2012, we parted ways with our STi and welcomed our 2008 BMW 335xi into our lives, a car we both adore.
After my first track weekend with the S2000 in the fall of 2012, I’ve got big plans for her in 2013….. I’m also looking forward to modifying the BMW more, and hopefully welcoming our first Porsche 911 into our lives.
Oh, plus there’s my Bucket List dealing with cars. I’m trying my hardest to both keep it up to date, adding things and trying to cross some things off.
And if you ever want to know something about me… Feel free to ask.
wait, you collect foxes? like… real ones?
i collect photos of cars… check out my new website! http://www.MOTORMAVENS.com
=)
Not quite.
Fox items — pictures and stuffed animals make up the majority of my collection, but I have a fair few fox tails and one red fox pelt.
I *love* car pictures, especially when they have the photographer’s artistic flare to them… Which is why I’m trying (hard!) to create my own.
Hey Foxy!
Walter from MaMB (and Triad Miatas).
I like the new blog. I like the new 240sx!
Sounds like you’re doing well with the car stuff!
Are you and Hubby going to come up to Miatas at Myrtle Beach 4? It’s been announced.
Take care,
Walter
Heyy!
Thanks, it’s been fun… Just got in $500 worth of new brake goodies for the Miata, we’re going to our first track day next month and getting ready! If everything goes alright, I’d love to make it out again. (More sunny weather hopefully??) I think you guys have an S2000 to meet anyhow.
Dang, lookin reaaal good. *3 thumbs up*
Thank you! :3
Just to let you know, from the site url, there is a third way that the title can be read…
I honestly thought that when I clicked through from Untemplater that the url meant Car Sex Girl!
I was pleasantly surprised to see a female car mod’er though and it’s nothing like the amateur porn site I thought I might come across!
Judging from the articles and pictures you have on here you blatantly know more about cars and how to mod them than me, which is very cool actually!
You should start doing “How to..” guides for picking rims, lowering your ride and any number of mods you could want to do. Could be an ebook in that somewhere!
Keep up the good work
Ian
Yeah, there’s that… Ha. Not my intention, at all! (I hope I’m not scaring off people with that… Heh.)
Hm, I like that idea… I’ve been throwing around the idea of an ebook for a bit, and perhaps that can be a little pet project for me sometime.
Thanks for stopping by and giving my site a chance, haha.
Hey, ive see your blog comments everywhere.lol..Im gonna add you because you now alot more car shit than most guys I know..thats real cool…
Im gonna add you to my blogroll..

*ra64freddy.wordpress.com..my bad..
Yeah, I’m around a lot of places, lol. Thanks for the add, I’m sure I’ll add you to mine as well.
You are my idle! Car’s are my life as well! I’ve never met a girl my age who was truly into them. Most of em get me really irritated by there stupidity. My car and i have been through a lot the past couple years and i have learned so much from her! She is my life! I believe I am an import junkie lol Nissan, Mazda, Subaru, Mitsubishi..etc..I just love them, though I’ve had some bad experience with Mitsubishi’s..I like your 240sx but my dream car is the 300ZX..i would love to have the opportunity to own and tune that sexy car! Haha. Anyways, mad props to you girl and you def made a new fan!
Haha, wow, thanks! Never had anyone say that before….
Yeah, I’m definitely an “import junkie.” Not just Japanese, either… I have a huge weakness for German, Italian and British cars, but Japanese cars are what I know best.
300ZX — Nice choice.
I’d love to see what you end up doing with one of those, kinda hard to find in good shape though, no? At any rate, it was extremely revolutionary for its time.
Anyhow, keep it up! You’re not alone out there, even if it feels that way a lot. World could use more of us anyhow.
Hi Meg,
If you like the Miata, I think you would LOVE the Lotus Elan. It’s basically the car that Mazda used as template for designing the Miata. Do a quick google on it, please.. I’ve had mine for 5 years now, and I feel on top of the world, when I floor the pedal on that car
Peter — Believe me, I know *all* about the Elan!
There’s been some talk about possibly getting an Elise, though I’d prefer an Exige… I’m sure I’ll end up with a Lotus here in the future, how soon I can’t really say though!
Hi there. I was just searching around the web and found my car on your site. I am glad you like it and glad that it inspires you. It is the widebody white Sil80 w/ the RB26.
She’s definitely one of my favorites that I’ve ever come across!
(And I’m glad you don’t seem to mind she’s on my site! I’ve always worried about someone getting mad over it ha.)
It has cost me a fortune and still racking up the bill but its a blast. I have a lot of things still left to do to get her the way I want her but they are all things you wont really see besides the custom enterior work I am doing. New bride seats, S15 dash, GTR fuel tank and some new support braces for the frame. It looks a little different now due to my custom headlights and my rebuilt and airbrushed GTR calipers. Ill put some new pics up in a couple weeks. BTW I live in Japan
Im stoked to see it on other sites. Just as long as no one is claiming it as their own. Dont mind if you post them up.
Lucky!
I’m hoping to spend a prolonged period of time in Japan sometime, but I’m not sure if any of my cars will come with me. I have a huge list I’d want to work through while I had the chance… (Suzuki Cappuccino being at the top of that list, haha.)
Let me know where you post the new pictures! I wouldn’t mind doing an update, considering that the post I put the other pictures in of your car still gets a fair bit of views. I’d love to feature her again! :3 Especially when my own projects are moving so slowly, haha.
I usually post them up on car domain under 180sx so you can check them out there or on 180sx.co.uk Ill make a more updated mod list too. Suzuki cappuccino is a fun car. to small for me though. I want another aristo or JZX110
